MILWAUKEE — Former Gonzaga men's basketball star Drew Timme, who signed a training camp deal with the Milwaukee Bucks after not being picked in the NBA draft, is now getting a shot with the Buck's G League team - the Wisconsin Herd.
Timme is an affiliate player with the Bucks, meaning he can still sign with another NBA team. The Zags superstar was waived by the Bucks earlier this month after playing in the NBA summer league and two preseason games.
Timme finished his career in Gonzaga as one of the best players in the school's history. He scored a program-record 2,307 points and 910 field goals. He also set the national record for most games with 20 or more points in the NCAA Tournament at 10.
His former teammate Malachi Smith also signed with a G League team, the Rip City Remix.
