SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — The eastbound lanes of Snoqualmie Pass have reopened Sunday afternoon after previously being closed due to adverse conditions.
The Washington State Department of Transportation tweeted about the closure at 12:38 p.m. on Sunday. The WSDOT originally said there was no estimated time for reopening, before reopening the lanes at 1:29 p.m.
Multiple vehicles spun out east of North Bend, causing the closure, according to WSDOT. Heavy snow is currently falling on Snoqualmie Pass, and chains are required for all vehicles without all-wheel or four-wheel drive.
The conditions listed on Snoqualmie Pass on Sunday afternoon said there was snow and slush on the roadway.
