SEATTLE — The Northwest Avalanche Center expects a “considerable" avalanche danger on Sunday throughout most of the Washington Cascades.
Heavy snow will continue for elevations above 3,500 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

Drivers traveling over the passes are advised to carry chains and keep an extra flashlight, food and water in their cars in case of emergency. Check pass reports before heading out.
The lowlands saw heavy rain on Friday as several areas broke daily precipitation records. Sea-Tac International Airport recorded 3.25 inches of rain on Friday, making it the 5th rainiest day on record.
A Flood Watch is in effect until Sunday evening for portions of Grays Harbor, King, Lewis, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston counties.
