SPOKANE, Wash. — So many kids need support to go back to school fully prepared. Many school districts have nearly half of their families financially struggling.
And going back to school no longer means just pens and pencils. Kids throughout our region need all the traditional supplies but also need snacks, socks, hygiene products, and clothing. KREM Cares Tools 2 Schools works to meet kids where they are in their journey at school. And we do that by partnering with Communities in Schools Spokane. The team at the non-profit organization is embedded in the schools and can get kids what they need. However, we need you to donate so we can help them complete the mission. There are multiple ways to help.
Donate at any area Office Depot. The stores will turn your donation into the traditional school supplies that are requested.
Donate online to our Tools 2 Schools Link. It will allow us to support the kids with everything from backpacks, snacks, clothing, books, socks, shoes, and more. It could mean the difference between feeling good about school and not returning.
Go to the Amazon wish list. It's easy—and you can buy exactly what is requested by the people who work directly with the kids.
QR Code will take you directly to the online donation portal. It's easy—and you can copy it and send it to family and friends.
Coeur d'Alene Casino is a long-time Tools 2 Schools partner. During August, the casino will be taking donations and providing Tools 2 Schools with a big check at the end of the month.
