SWAT search ends in arrests, seizure of drugs and firearms in Kootenai County

A 60-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man from Rathdrum were arrested on multiple charges Wednesday afternoon.

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A Rathdrum man and Rathdrum woman were arrested for multiple charges Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, deputies executed a search warrant with help from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office/ Coeur d'Alene Police Department SWAT Team at a home on the 11000 block of West Wyoming Avenue in Kootenai County.

Donna K. Carrico was arrested on her felony warrant for failing to appear for arraignment for possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia. 

Michael J. Carrico was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia.

The sheriff's office says several guns were seized from the home, and other suspects may be charged at a later time for other related offenses.
