SPOKANE, Wash. — Just after 3 a.m. today, the Spokane Police Department (SPD) responded to a call at the 6000 block of N. Addison St. about a large group altercation with shots fired.
When police arrived at the area, numerous people were fleeing the scene both in cars and on foot.
Officers said they stopped a vehicle leaving the scene, which had four people, including 3 juveniles, who later learned they were a part of the initial fight.
The fight took place in a parking lot during a party at the location.
According to SPD, officers removed the people from the car and saw a handgun in the back seat.
The investigation showed that at one point at the party, the teenage driver went to the car to retrieve the gun and fired a shot. There were no injured people found at the scene.
18-year-old, Jordan L. Boren was booked into the Spokane County Jail on Drive-by Shooting and 2nd Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
SPD responded to a separate call on Saturday around 6:30 a.m. about a drive-by shooting in the area of N. Wall St. and Francis Ave. SPD said how neighbors reported 3-4 gunshots being fired at a residence, as well as seeing a suspect flee in a distinctive car.
Neighbors mentioned how the car is frequently seen at a home on the 5900 block of N. Wall St. Officers discovered two cars at the home with bullet holes. The residents of the home have been contacted and confirmed that no injuries occurred.
SPD tried to conduct an interview but the residents would not cooperate. Officers said it appears that the drive-by shooting was targeted and that the victims likely knew the suspect.
