SPOKANE, Wash. — After a windy Tuesday, a few more windy days are forecasted for the Inland Northwest because of a new storm system that passes through. There are, however, some details to compare and contrast between these two windy storms.
The cold front that passes overhead comes Friday evening. So the winds will increase during the day Friday and then stay breezy through Saturday, making this a longer duration event. The winds won't be quite as strong compared to Tuesday's weather. Aside from those two details, the rest is similar which includes a (mostly) cold front passage and a fair temperature drop the next day.
Weather hazard: Strong winds up to 35mph and increased fire danger.
When: 8 a.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday
Impact: Heightened fire danger on Friday. Chance for blowing dust.
Need to know: Like Tuesday, you should take a moment to secure any loose objects outdoors so they don't blow away. Due to the increase in fire danger, please do not burn anything outdoors including having campfires.
WATCH RELATED: Cooler temps this weekend, along with some scattered showers and increasing sun
