SPOKANE, Wash. — The Inland Northwest saw several inches of snow and pass conditions have remained slick and snowy. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), mountain passes like Snoqualmie and Stevens will have compact snow and slick conditions, making the drive dangerous.

Snow is staying in the forecast for Thursday night into Friday, so drivers should plan their travels accordingly to stay safe while on the road.

WSDOT's website reported that all Snoqualmie travel on eastbound and westbound lanes requires chains on all vehicles except all-wheel drive. Oversized vehicles are not permitted on the passes. Stevens Pass also requires chains on all vehicles except all-wheel drive.

According to the Washington State Patrol, more than 104 collisions took place in Wednesday's snow in the Spokane Metro area and 119 district-wide.
