CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington University (EWU) is losing 6'10" No. 10 to the transfer portal.
Eagles forward Ethan Price announced Monday he is entering the transfer portal. Price joined the Eags in 2021 as a freshman, where he had a stand out season earning the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year. Price was also slected to the Winter Big Sky Conference All-Academic team and was Eastern’s 7th BSC Freshman of the Year honoree and the first since Bogdan Bliznyuk in 2015.
Price shared the news on X on Monday, giving thanks to his coaches, teammates, family and friends.
"First of all, I would like to thank everyone at Eastern Washington for the past 3 years. I have made relationships along the way that will last a lifetime and gained a second home," he wrote.
Price thanked EWU's previous head coach David Riley, who recently took the men's basketball head coach position at Washington State University.
This season, Price averaged 12.1 points, four rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
During his sophomore season he earned honorable mention All-Big Sky.
Price is the second Eastern player to enter the transfer portal this season. Casey Jones entered the transfer portal on April 7 and remains undecided.
