Washington high school playoff basketball: February 18th

The GNL girls played their league championship, while the 2B boys and girls held their semifinals.

Semifinal

Liberty (Spangle) 74, Colfax 62, OT (highlights in video): The Colfax boys came roaring back to force overtime after trailing by 10 points at the half. However, Liberty’s Jacob Holling came alive in overtime scoring 13 straight points for his team. Liberty moves on to the Northeast 2B championship and will play St. George’s at 3:30 at West Valley on Saturday for the tournament championship.

St. George's 61, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 42 (highlights in video): Nick Watkins put up 23 points as St. George's as the Dragons outscored the Broncos by 13 points in the second half. St. George's moves on to the Northeast 2B championships and will play Liberty at 3:30 at West Valley on Saturday for the tournament championship.

Clarkston 40, West Valley (Spokane) 39 (highlights in video): West Valley led by five points with 2:30 to go in the game, but Ashlyn Wallace and the Bantams shut the Eagles out after that. Meanwhile Wallace had a three that cut West Valley’s lead to two and then assisted on the game-winning three from Lauren Johnson that came with 1:45 left. Clarkston wins the GNL championship.

St. George's 49, Kettle Falls 34

Semifinal

Colfax 45, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 36 (highlights in video): Colfax’s Asher Cai had 20 points as the Bulldogs held off Lind-Ritzville on Tuesday. Colfax didn’t allow the Broncos to score a single point in the third quarter. Colfax will play Liberty in the in the Northeast 2B championship on Saturday at 2 PM at West Valley.
