Post Falls City Council appoints Ryan Davis to fill Council City Seat 6

The City announced Ryan Davis will fill Council Seat 6, which was previously held by Kenny Shove, who resigned earlier this month.

POST FALLS, Idaho — Post Falls City Council has appointed its newest City Council member.

The City announced Ryan Davis will fill Council Seat 6, which was previously held by Kenny Shove, who resigned earlier this month.

Davis was on the city's planning and zoning committee for 10 years. From 2006-2020, Davis was also the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County.

“I am grateful to Mayor Jacobson and the other city council members for trusting me to fill this role," Davis said. "I look forward to working collaboratively with the council to represent the interests of the residents of Post Falls.”

Davis will fill the remainder of the term, which ends in January 2026. City Council will fill Seat 2 on December 17 with Josh Walker's resignation effective November 30, 2024.

“While we were saddened to lose Councilor Shove, I am excited to welcome Councilor Davis," Mayor Ronald Jacobson said. "Ryan has demonstrated his commitment to the people of Post Falls for many years and he brings a wealth of experience to the city council that will benefit the residents of the city. I also want to thank all those who submitted applications to be considered for appointment. Your willingness to serve our community is deeply appreciated."
