Post Falls City Council Member Kenny Shove announces resignation

Shove has served on the council since January 2022 but will be moving outside Post Falls city limits.

POST FALLS, Idaho — The City of Post Falls announced on Thursday that City Council Member Kenny Shove has formally submitted his resignation, effective November 1, 2024.

Council Member Shove has served as the Councilor in Seat 6 since January 2022. 

The city says Shove is moving out of the city limits and stated, “It has been an honor to serve and represent the people of Post Falls and I wish the best for the city.” 

Post Falls Mayor Ronald Jacobson issued a statement on Thursday thanking Shove for his service. 

“I thank Councilor Shove for his dedicated service and contributions to our community and will miss seeing him at council meetings. We wish Kenny, and his family, all the best in this next phase of their lives,” said Jacobson. 

The City Council will discuss the vacancy at its meeting on November 5, 2024.
