Woman killed in downtown Spokane hit-and-run crash

The Spokane Police Department is investigating the deadly crash near Browne and Main.

SPOKANE, Wash. — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in downtown Spokane Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Spokane Police Department, police responded to reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash near Browne and Main in downtown Spokane at around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

SPD said 911 was advised that a woman was on the road and did not appear to be conscious. She was taken to the hospital for treatment but later died from her injuries.

SPD said officers with the Major Crimes Unit responded to the area to help with patrol officers. Spokane police have not found the car involved as of yet.
