SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A new video released from the Spokane County Sheriff's Office shows the moment deputies deployed a spike strip to stop a suspect who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.

According to deputies, the car's license plate was picked up by an automated license plate reader (ALPR).

The ALPR notified deputies located the vehicle noting the suspect was driving erratically and had run a red light.

The video goes on to show the moments Deputies deployed a spike strip, deflating the vehicle’s tires and preventing a high-speed pursuit.
