SPOKANE, Wash. — A person is dead after they were struck by a car on Highway 2 near Flint Road.
Spokane police and medical personnel responded to the crash at about 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday. The person was later taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Police said the driver of the car was cooperative and has not been charged with a crime.
Law enforcement received complaints earlier in the morning of a pedestrian in the road on Highway 2 near the crash, but no one was found at the time of the reports, police said.
Both westbound and eastbound traffic were closed on the highway for some time and did not reopen until about 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police said the Investigation is ongoing.
