KETTLE FALLS, Wash. — The Kettle Falls School District shared the results of an investigation surrounding a teacher who is alleged to have touched children inappropriately at Kettle Falls Early Learning Center.

The district said that approximately 336 hours of video was reviewed.

During the review, the district found there were three additional students who were allegedly kissed on the cheek by Nathaniel Ford. The district said the families of the students have been notified.

In a Facebook post, the district said the investigation took so long because it could not start until the Kettle Falls Police Department investigation was finished.

The district also addressed changes that will be made because of these incidents. It said, “In response to the initial incident, it is important to know that improvements were made at our ELC which include additional supervision, improved structures to track student behaviors, better communication between our staff and our families, and improved video storage across our school district. As you know, keeping our students safe is our highest priority. We will continue to make improvements to ensure that all our students are safe so that they can learn and grow.”

Nathaniel Ford was booked back in February on a fourth-degree assault charge with sexual motivation.
