Early Learning Center employee arrested after reportedly touching child inappropriately in Kettle Falls

KETTLE FALLS, Wash. — The Kettle Falls Police Department arrested (KFPD) an employee of the Kettle Falls School District Early Learning Center on Thursday after they were reportedly seen inappropriately touching a child at the center. 

According to the Stevens County Sheriff's Office (SCSO), KFPD immediately responded after receiving the call just after 3 p.m. Thursday.

KFPD arrested Nathaniel Ford, 32, of Kettle Falls on Thursday. He was booked on a misdemeanor charge of assault 4th degree with sexual motivation.  

Ford had a preliminary hearing and was held on $5,000 bail on Feb. 9, according to SCSO.

Both KFPD and SCSO plan to collaborate on the investigation.
