SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane saw more snow on early Saturday morning after Friday's heavy snowfall continued to impact roads in the city.
Spokane's South Hill saw the brunt of the snowfall overnight. Parents like Ken Ebner brought his two kids out to Manito Park to enjoy the frosty weather.
"Kids are pumped to see all the snow. It definitely makes this time of year a little more enjoyable," Ebner said.
But downtown business owners like Macey Morales struggled to keep up with the snowfall.
"It all started last night. I was panicking. Just worried if people would be willing to come out here," Morales said.
Morales had organized a special event for her clothing business, 'Heat Street.'
"We had some of our team drive up from Tri-Cities. They left at three this morning," Morales said. "So weather is just making everything longer and harder."
It impacted local businesses downtown like First Avenue Coffee. Barista Milo Krims was assigned as the shop's snow shoveler for the day.
"I'm going to do my best to make sure nobody gets hurt on the sidewalk or, also, they can get a good cup of coffee while they're out here," Krims said.
With average snowfall predicted in the coming season, many people hope this is the start of a great winter.
