SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane says that several construction projects are set to begin on Monday, July 15 and travel delays should be expected.
The travel impacts are as follows:
North Monroe Street – expect delays
Monroe St. will be closed between Kiernan Avenue and Francis Avenue on Monday, July 15 for paving. Detours will be in place.
The intersection of Garland Avenue and Monroe Street will be fully closed to both eastbound and westbound traffic only for Monday, July 15.
North Market Street – lane reductions
Northbound and southbound Market Street will be reduced to one lane in both directions between the Greene Street Bridge and Wellesley Avenue.
West Queen Avenue – rough road
The grind and overlay project on Queen Avenue between Division Street and Wall Street continues, causing rough driving conditions and delays during the week of July 15.
Freya Street Roundabout – closed
On Monday, July 15, WSDOT will close the south roundabout and northbound off-ramp from the North Spokane Corridor to Freya Street for an estimated 20 days.
Please remember to slow down near and in work zones. Follow established detour routes for everyone's safety during construction. Take some time to visit impacted businesses as well.
