Cleaning company helps Coeur d'Alene businesses impacted by fire

Shortly after firefighters contained the flames at a building in Coeur d'Alene, Servepro was on the scene to assist the business owners.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — A cleaning company is helping two Coeur d'Alene businesses who were impacted by a fire back in January get back on their feet.

Servpro of Coeur d’Alene responds within 24 hours to emergency situations. Shortly after firefighters contained the flames at a building in Coeur d'Alene, the group was on the scene to assist the business owners.

“We’re a fire and water restoration and cleanup company,” explained Angela Blessinger whos a sales and marketing manager with the company.

On Jan. 20,  Luis Gomez's tailoring shop was damaged in the fire.

“They’ve been working with us since we started and we’re so impressed with the work,” Gomez said. “The clothes don’t smell like smoke.”

Drenched clothes were laying out on the street with a smell of smoke etched into the fabric that seemed like it wouldn’t go anywhere.

That was until Servpro spoke with Luis about their services to help him out.

“We’ll help as much as we can with smoke damage, deodorization, document drying, and electronics,” said Blessinger.

Servepro is also helping a tattoo shop that was impacted by the fire.

Servepro has a location set up in Hayden, Idaho where they fix these issues. Machines like air scrubbers and dehumidifiers were used to fix the clothes and the locally owned business helps during emergency situations, but they also stay prepared for any restoration needs.
