SPOKANE, Wash. — Three men were indicted Monday on federal drug charges just days after they were arrested in an alleged drug bust in Spokane.

According to the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, Osvaldo Guadalupe Soto-Orduno, Jose Roman Lizarraga-Gerardo and Jose Efrain Gonzalez-Rodriguez were charged with conspiracy to distribute 400 grams or more of a mixture containing fentanyl and 500 grams or more of a mixture containing meth.

The investigation began on June 26, when, according to the criminal complaint, DEA agents identified a Toyota Corolla they believed was transporting drugs to a house in Spokane. Investigators in court records say they saw Lizarraga-Gerardo and Soto-Orduno get out of the car, with Soto-Orduno carrying a black bag, and they enter the house. Court records say a short time later they saw the two men exit the house and leave in the Toyota.

Police conducted a traffic stop on the car. According to the complaint, Soto consented to a search of the car where police found large bundles of money.

Investigators also saw Gonzalez-Rodriguez and another man exit the home carrying a black backpack and leave in an Acura sedan, according to the complaint. Police conducted a traffic stop on the car. Court documents say investigators searched the car and found 7,000 pills presumed to be fentanyl and two pounds of presumed meth.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators searched the home and found 61,000 pills believed to be fentanyl, more than three pounds of meth, more than a pound of cocaine, a small quantity of heroin and four guns.

All three men have a status hearing scheduled for July 12 at 11 a.m. in Spokane federal court.
