POST FALLS, Idaho — The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) said they arrested a teenager who escaped from the District One Juvenile Detention Center last Friday.
KCSO said a detective saw 15-year-old Caden Schreibeis enter a home on East Mountain View Road off West Ponderosa Boulevard and South Spencer Street in Post Falls.
KCSO said detectives and patrol deputies, including a K9, verbally commanded Schreibeis to exit the home, where he listened to the commands and was arrested without incident.
Schreibeis was booked into the District One Juvenile Detention Center for conspiracy to commit escape and escape.
The sheriff's office says they and the Coeur d'Alene Police Department were notified that two juveniles escaped the detention center at around 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The sheriff's office said they found the other escapee near 4th and Gregory Lane by the Coeur d'Alene Police Department. They also said the other escapee was booked on injuring a jail facility, conspiracy to commit escape and escape, and was arrested without further incident.
