Police investigating after body found on sidewalk in North Spokane

Officers responded to the area of 2000 E. Dalke Avenue at about 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday after reports of a man's body on the sidewalk.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police are investigating after a  body found was found on a sidewalk in North Spokane on Wednesday morning. 

Officers responded to the area of 2000 E. Dalke Avenue at about 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday for reports of a man's body on the sidewalk. 

Officers secured the location and requested assistance from Major Crime detectives, who will process the scene with help from the Spokane County Sheriff Forensics Unit and the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Authorities do not know the person's cause of death at this time. 

Those with any information that may help detectives, including video surveillance from area, are asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233 and reference Incident No. 2020-20054972.
