SPOKANE, Wash. — The world's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament is this weekend: Hoopfest! Being on the final weekend of June means the weather can get very hot some years, but 2024's weather shouldn't be bad at all!
Saturday will be warm, in the mid-80s, with partly to mostly cloudy skies, the extra cloud cover might take the edge off of the heat. You'll still need plenty of sunscreen.
Sunday will be a slam-dunk temperature-wise, also in the low 80s. That will be very comfortable for those competing or viewing. There is a small chance of showers on Sunday afternoon. It appears those chances will mainly be in northeastern Washington, with a nearly-negligible 10% chance for rain near Spokane around noon. Nothing more than the typical pop-up scattered variety showers. In fact, any nearby rain might cool off the rain a little more making it even nicer.
Last year it was 81-84 degrees for Hoopfest, so this year's weather will be nearly the same.
