SPOKANE, Wash. — Hoopfest 2024 is just around the corner!
The biggest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world is coming to Spokane, which has been a staple in the community for over 30 years. Hundreds of hoopers will take their talents to courts across downtown Spokane to compete and have fun!
Before you head out to downtown Spokane for Hoopfest, here is what you need to know.
What is Hoopfest?
Hoopfest is the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world, where more than 4,000 teams, 3,000 volunteers and hundreds of thousands of fans will be at 425 courts over 45 city blocks to enjoy some basketball, as well as what the City of Spokane has to offer.
When is Hoopfest this year?
Hoopfest weekend is the last weekend of June. Hoopfest dates are Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30.
How much money does Hoopfest weekend bring to the local economy?
According to the Spokane Hoopfest Association, Hoopfest weekend typically brings in around $47 million to the Inland Northwest.
If I am playing in Hoopfest this year, what should I know?
If you have a team and are playing in Hoopfest this year, you are guaranteed to play at least three games. The games are 25 minutes each, but the first team to score 20 points before the 25-minute game is the winner.
The time of each game varies for different age groups. For players in grades 3-6, the games are 20 minutes long. For players in grades 1-2, games are 15 minutes.
When and where can my team and I check in for Hoopfest?
You cand your Hoopfest team can register either on Thursday, June 27 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m., or Friday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Team check-in for Hoopfest 2024 is a Riverfront Park at the Pavilion Plaza.
What does parking look like? How else can I get to Hoopfest?
As you can imagine, it's going to be very busy around the downtown Spokane area Hoopfest weekend. With most of downtown Spokane closed down traffic-wise for Hoopfest, there are limited places where you can park.
However, the Parkade, which is between Howard and Stevens on West Main Avenue, will have daily and weekend parking passes. Daily parking passes cost $30, and weekend passes cost $50.

If you are not able to drive and park at the Parkade or want to avoid parking altogether? No worries. Take advantage of the STA Hoop Loop.
Bus fare will be free during Hoopfest weekend thanks to the 50th anniversary celebration of Expo '74.
The Jefferson Hoopfest Shuttle will run every 10 minutes on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
