SPOKANE, Wash. — The chance of rain returns to the forecast Tuesday. While most of the region won't see much, a few scattered showers will pop up throughout the day Tuesday before nice weather returns to the Inland Northwest.
A storm moving by to the southeast doesn't have what it takes to bring widespread rain to any part of the region. It's just too cutoff from the moisture and we are too far from the energy of the storm. Instead, expect cloud cover, cooler temperatures, and a few rain drops at times. By Wednesday, it's back to sunshine and warmer temperatures.
Increasing sunshine Wednesday gives way to mostly sunny skies on Thursday. Temperatures will climb back into the upper 70s Thursday, above average for this time of year.
Right now it looks like we get a little chance of rain heading into the weekend. It's still far away and the chance isn't great, so let's not commit to anything this time of year. By the way, fall officially starts Sunday!
