SPOKANE, Wash. — As everything calms down, the big story will be the cold nights in the coming days. Overnight lows will drop into the 20s and even teens for some. The rapid drop in temps and recent rain bring the potential for a little patchy fog the next few days.
The biggest problem with the forecast is the fog formation. If it forms and stays thick, high temperatures will suffer greatly. Either way, it's likely our daytime highs top out in the mid 40s with plenty of sun once the fog burns off.
Our next round of rain looks to arrive this weekend. The storms are still far out and a lot can change in the meantime. Right now it's looking like valley rain and mountain snow. Even as the snow levels drop on the back side of the cold front, it stays out of Spokane... for now.
