SPOKANE, Wash. — Snow started falling early Monday morning in Spokane, a sign of what’s to come later this week.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Spokane until 10:00 p.m. on Monday. The NWS said additional snow accumulations of one to three inches is possible. Total snowfall could be 2 to 4 inches.
Snow showers could continue off and on throughout the day.
Snow showers are also moving through the Palouse on Monday morning where there is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect.
Whatever snow falls on Monday will stick around. Temperatures stay below freezing all day as very cold arctic weather plunges into the region. The coldest temperatures will be in Montana.
With the freezing temperatures, drivers should be prepared for slick roads, especially on less traveled surfaces, like in neighborhoods. WSDOT has also responded to several crashes on I-90.
