Power restored to Stevens County after heavy snowfall

In addition there are minor power outages in Garfield and Spokane counties on Saturday morning.

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — Stevens County was restored with power after a significant power outage occurred on Saturday morning.

According to the Inland Power and Light outage map, 88 customers are without power in Spokane county as of 1:16 p.m. In addition, 266 customers in Garfield county are also experiencing a power outage and 38 customers don't have power in Kootenai County.

More than 2,800 people in Stevens County were without power on Saturday morning after heavy snowfall blanketed the region on Friday and into the morning.

According to the Inland Power and Light outage map, 2,847 customers were without power in Stevens County as of 6:10 a.m. 

There is no cause or estimated time for restoration listed by IPL.

Kootenai Electric Cooperative was also seeing outages affecting 215 people in Kootenai County on Saturday morning. It also hasn't listed a estimated time for restoration or a cause for the outages.

Avista also has outages reported in Kootenai and Spokane counties. In total, 204 customers are without power in Kootenai County and 26 are without power in Spokane County. There is also no listed cause for the outage or estimated time for restoration.
