Westbound Interstate 90 reopened Friday around 9:30 a.m. following a closure caused by multiple spinouts.

The road was closed for about 30 minutes.

The Cascades are expected to get a heavy round of snow Friday. A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect through Saturday at 10 a.m. Areas above 2,000 feet are expected to get 6 to 18 inches of snow, and areas above 3,000 feet could see 18 to 30 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Travel over the passes could be "very difficult to impossible," according to the weather service.

Meanwhile, people throughout western Washington woke up to at least a dusting of snow Friday morning.

Snow began reportedly sticking to the roads in Everett and Lake Stevens before 5 a.m.

Several school districts are on two-hour delay, including Snohomish, Monroe, and Stanwood.

Check school closings and delays.

However, little to no accumulation is expected in most areas today.

Another front is expected to bring cold temperatures and more lowland snow to western Washington next week. It is almost certain the system will bring the coldest temperatures so far this winter.
