SPOKANE, Wash. — Road conditions are slippery around Spokane amid Christmas Day snow.
Snow began around 5 p.m. in Spokane. Spokane police tweeted that they had already responded to several crashes, including a five car collision on TJ Meenach Bridge, by 6:30 p.m.
Spokane police recommend people stay home and spend some extra time with their loved ones.
Snow showers are expected to continue through the night and throughout most of the day Saturday.
Spokane and Coeur d'Alene are expecting 1-3" of snow with areas to the north seeing 2-4". The Palouse and areas on the southern tier of the Inland Northwest will be less snow overall.
Temperatures through the weekend will remain in the mid 30s for highs. Next week it'll be low 30s which is near average.
