Morning fog today, morning rain for Halloween

Rain arrives tonight and Thursday morning but won't be more than a sprinkle during the Trick-or-Treat hours in the evening.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Another morning with isolated fog, this time hitting Spokane and Airway Height pretty hard. But all other locations are doing fine in terms of visibility, including Spokane Valley. As of 7am, the fog is already starting to thin, which is good news considering it's not even sunrise yet. We'll end up partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 50s today which will be the warmest day this week.

A large cold front currently advancing towards western Washington will be what gives us rain late tonight and Thursday morning. By the time the cold front arrives it weakens significantly. This means only light rain is likely during the morning hours and nothing more than a drizzle for the Trick-or-Treaters at night.

Snow levels will be around 3,500' Thursday.

The unsettled weather pattern sticks around all through early November. The first 5 days all have daily chances for scattered showers. High temperatures stay in the mid 40s with snow levels as low as 2,700'. That's starting to get close enough for a possible rain/snow mix during some evenings when temperatures drop into the 30s. Nothing concrete if you're wondering about when we'll get our "first snowfall" just yet.
