Widespread heavy rain and warm temperatures to end the week

Parts of the Inland Northwest will pick up almost an inch of rain Friday and Saturday.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Yet another Pacific storm is on the way to the Northwest. Coming in from the southwest, it will bring widespread rain and much warmer temperatures to the region to end the week. Almost an inch of rain will fall across the Inland Northwest as the storm moves through, and it all starts tomorrow.

Friday brings a more widespread round of rain and warmer temperatures as a wave of energy spins into the region. We’re talking some serious rain. Most locations will pick up somewhere between a half inch and inch of rain all said and done. Even Spokane will likely see more than a half inch by Saturday morning. Snow, it’s all in the mountains. The top of the mountains. Snow levels climb to almost 6,000 feet as temperatures soar almost 10 degrees above normal.

Right now the weekend looks to be more dry than wet, but with a storm sitting off the coast it’s safe to assume we will see scattered showers each day. Both days look to be morning events and not near what we see on Friday, think what we saw on Thursday.

Thanksgiving travel? Well, there’s a decent chance we remain pretty dry and pretty cold all of next week. There's a small chance of showers each day, but nothing near what we saw or will see this week.
