SPOKANE, Wash. — Bloomsday runners have had to endure a wide range of weather conditions through the years. We've seen near record highs in the 80s, chilly runs in the 40s, snowfall (0.80” in 1984!), and even drenching rains.
This year’s Bloomsday should feature less extreme conditions.
Temperatures at the start of the race will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s, depending on which wave you are in. The race highs will top out just slightly below average in the low 60s.
Skies will be cloudy, and a few light showers are possible, but for the most part, the radar shows the wet weather should stay out of downtown.
Also good news for Bloomies, winds should be light, so overall running conditions shouldn’t be too bad.
