SPOKANE, Wash. — The Inland Northwest is in for its next snowfall on Monday. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect through the entire area today due to the incoming snowfall. For central Washington the advisory goes until 1pm, for Spokane and Coeur d'Alene the advisory goes until 5pm, and for the Lookout Pass area the advisory goes until 7am Tuesday.
1-2" of snow is most likely going to fall throughout the lowlands and valleys. Slightly less for the central Washington, Columbia Basin regions like Moses Lake where only an inch of snow at most will fall.
Spokane will start seeing snow between 8am-10am this morning and likely snows through about 2pm-5pm this afternoon. Because of the mid-day snow, the road conditions will becoming slipperier later in the day compared to the morning. With high temperatures around 32-34°, this should be a wet and slushy snow, but just as slippery as any snow would be.
The next storm will be a warm event, rain Tuesday night into Wednesday. High temperatures will climb to the upper 40s for Wednesday and snow levels climbing above 6,000'. Extremely warm for December standards.
