SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Two different crashes on I-90 caused big backups for drivers east of Spokane on Tuesday morning. Both crashes are now clear.
Drivers heading from Spokane Valley to Spokane were warned to prepare for long delays this morning after several cars were involved in a crash on westbound I-90 near Broadway Avenue.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the crash blocked the left lane of traffic. Video from the area showed what appeared to be five cars involved in the collision with law enforcement also blocking part of the shoulder.
WSDOT warned drivers to “expect a lengthy delay if you’re headed that way for your morning commute,” in a Tweet.
The crash scene is now clear but there is not information about what caused the crash.
Another crash blocked the left lane of eastbound I-90 near Barker Road in Liberty Lake. Washington State Patrol said two cars were involved in this crash.
Traffic cameras showed troopers and other emergency workers on the scene and blocking the left lane of traffic. Again, the scene has now been cleared.
