POLLOCK, Idaho — Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a crash involving a car and a semi-truck that left both drivers injured on Friday, August 9.
ISP says that, around 8:30 p.m., troopers responded to a crash on U.S. Highway 95 near Pollock, Idaho.
Troopers say a Ford truck driving southbound on U.S. 95 crossed over the center line and hit a semi-truck pulling a trailer.
The driver of the Ford was severely injured and Life Flight was called to transport the 29-year-old to a local hospital.
The driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital via ambulance.
ISP says the road was closed in both the northbound and southbound directions for around 5 hours, reopening at about 2 a.m. on Saturday.
The Idaho County Sheriff's Office, Idaho Transportation Department and the Riggins Fire Department are investigating the crash and have determined that alcohol and drugs were a factor in the crash.
The crash is still being investigated.
