SPOKANE, Wash. — People traveling between Spokane and Pullman on US 195 should expect to see delays.
Drivers can expect 24-hour lane closures on US 195 for the next several months as Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews continue to replace cracked and damaged concrete panels on the bridge.
The project expands along a 10-mile stretch of US 195 between the Cashup Flatts Weigh Station and the SR 271 interchange.
Crews will begin working on the site on Tuesday, June 21. Construction will last for three days. Then it will begin again on Monday, June 27 through September.
Workdays will be limited until after the 4th of July holiday weekend.
US-195 will be reduced to a single lane in the area every day. Drivers will be temporarily halted and led through the work zone via a traffic signal. Once the traffic has exited the construction area, the other direction of traffic will be released.
Travelers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes at any time throughout the duration of the project, which is expected to last through September.
Travelers hoping to use SR 27 as an alternate route between Spokane and Pullman can also expect delays due to an ongoing chip seal project.
Drivers can find highway information conditions on the WSDOT Travel Alerts page, mobile app and the regional Twitter account.
