SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane construction crews are expected to start phase two of the Thor-Freya corridor project on March 25.
According to Spokane Public Works, crews will work on several projects at these intersections for approximately 10 weeks and a detour will be in place. The City will close the following areas while crews work on construction.
- Westbound I-90 Exit 283B Thor/Freya off-ramp
- Westbound 2nd Ave. will be closed between Thor St. and Freya St starting at 6 a.m.
Once work is done on 2nd Ave., crews will work on eastbound 3rd Ave at Thor and Freya.
Construction will focus on improvements like replacing curb and stormwater assets, water and sewer replacements, rebuilding intersections with concrete and accessibility upgrades.
Here are the three rerouting options available for drivers:
- Exit 286 at Broadway Ave
- Exit 285 at Sprague
- Exit 283A at Altamont St.
- Northbound Freya St. will be open between 5th Ave. and Sprague Ave.
