SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) says overnight lane closures on I-90 will begin on Sunday, Oct. 6 as crews work to install a new electronic Variable Message Sign.
WSDOT says beginning at 9 p.m. on Sunday crews will close the right lane of eastbound I-90 at milepost 288, approximately at University Road. At 10 p.m., crews will close the right two lanes of eastbound I-90 at the same location.
The left lane will remain open for the duration of the project.
On Monday night, the same closures will take place at the same times.
Lanes will be closed at the following times:
- Sunday, Oct. 6, from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7
- Monday, Oct. 7 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8
WSDOT says travelers should plan extra time to avoid delays and advise drivers to move over and slow down when approaching the work zone.
