Construction on Long Bridge in Sandpoint will reduce nighttime traffic to one lane

Traffic will be reduced to one-way alternating traffic while crews repave the roadway.

SANDPOINT, Idaho — Starting on Monday, August 12, Idaho Transportation Department crews will begin resurfacing the roadway on the Long Bridge in Sandpoint. 

Work will occur overnight Monday through Friday, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. with an expected completion date in mid-September.

During these nighttime construction hours, traffic will be reduced to one-lane, alternating traffic guided by flaggers and pilot cars. 

Drivers should expect nighttime delays throughout August and plan extra travel time.

As a reminder, drivers are encouraged to slow down through work zones and stay alert.
