SPOKANE, Wash. — Maintenance work will cause minor delays on both directions of Interstate 90 between Spokane and Spokane Valley on Sunday, August 25.
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) says crews will be restriping the skip lines beginning at 5 a.m.
The work will cause minor delays including lane closures that will move with the crews to provide them with space to work safely.
WSDOT says work will begin at the top of Sunset Hill and work in the right lane of eastbound I-90 until they reach Argonne Road in Spokane Valley.
Crews will then turn around and work in the westbound right lane from Argonne Road back to Sunset Hill.
WSDOT says after the restriping is done the striper crew will utilize the left lane to paint new skip lines in both directions along the same of I-90.
Traffic will be stopped on the on-ramps as the striper goes by.
WSDOT says the striper crew is expected to be off the roadway before 12 p.m.
Drivers should be prepared for slow-moving traffic in certain areas and should move over and slow down when approaching the active work zones.
