One person died after a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Airway Heights

Officers arrived on the scene to find two people injured. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — According to the Airway Heights Police Department (AHPD), a man involved in a Thursday morning crash died at the hospital from his injuries. The AHPD said officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash around 10:11 a.m. at Hayford Rd. and 9th Ave. in Airway Heights.

When officers arrived at the scene, police said they found a 64-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman with serious injuries. Both were taken to the Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The man, identified as Jose Hilario, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The woman remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the collision, according to AHPD.
