CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. — A crash involving a Chelan County Sheriff’s Office vehicle has closed part of Highway 97.

Washington State Patrol Trooper John Bryant said the two-car crash is fully blocking the highway at milepost 219 north of Entiat.

Washington State Patrol, the state Department of Transportation and the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, Bryant said.

Bryant said poor road conditions contributed to the crash and the highway closure will be extended during the investigation.

Two separate crashes also closed another section of Highway 97 near Wells Dam on Monday morning. That section of the highway has since reopened.
