METALINE FALLS, Wash. — Crews are working to repair a water main break in Metaline Falls.
According to the Pend Oreille PUD, crews are responding to a broken water line near the Sullivan Creek bridge in Metaline Falls. Highway 31 was also closed in the area but has since reopened.
Pend Oreille PUD said the water system in Metaline Falls is currently off with no ETA for restoration. Water is expected to remain off until Friday morning. Fire District 2 said people in Metaline Falls can go to Tiger Station at the junction of Highway 20 and Highway 31 for water.
Pend Oreille PUD said to bring your own containers for the water.
The cause of the water main break is under investigation.
