Traffic Alert: Drivers in northwest Spokane to see delays at Whistalks Way starting Monday, September 30

SPOKANE, Wash. — Drivers in northwest Spokane should expect to see delays in their commute starting Monday, September 30.

According to the City of Spokane, street maintenance and improvement work is taking place on Whistalks Way between the TJ Meenach Bridge and Government Way.

Here is what the City of Spokane said you should expect on September 30.

  • Whistalks Way will be reduced to one lane in each direction between TJ Meenach Bridge and Government Way.
  • Construction is taking place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Expect congestion around Spokane Falls Community College.
  • Lane reductions will change frequently throughout the work. Drivers should slow down and be alert.

The City of Spokane said construction is expected to last around two weeks. The City is also asking drivers to slow down in the area to stay safe.
