Traffic Alert: South roundabout at North Spokane Corridor Interchange with North Freya Street closing

WSDOT-East said the closure will begin on Monday, September 16, and will last three days.

SPOKANE, Wash. — If you plan on traveling near or at the south roundabout at the North Spokane Corridor, you should expect some delays to your commute.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), construction crews will be closing the south roundabout at the North Spokane Corridor interchange with North Freya Street.

WSDOT said the closure will start on Monday, September 16, at 5 a.m. and is expected to be finished on Wednesday, September 18, depending on the weather.

WSDOT said crews will close the southbound roundabout and the northbound off-ramp from the North Spokane Corridor to North Freya Street. WSDOT also said there won't be any access to the on-ramp northbound to the North Spokane Corridor.

According to WSDOT, the south roundabout will be closed starting at the southern edge of the north roundabout and continuing south to East Francis Avenue. WSDOT said access will be provided to businesses from East Francis Avenue north to the south roundabout. WSDOT said northbound access will use a signed detour heading west on East Francis Avenue and then north on North Market Street which reconnects to North Freya Street.

WSDOT said the north roundabout that connects the North Spokane Corridor southbound on and off-ramps will stay open, along with access to North Freya Street north of the roundabout.
