AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — If you are planning on driving on Highway 2 in Airway Heights on Tuesday, July 2, you should plan to make some changes to your commute.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the westbound lanes of Highway 2 at Lyons Road will be reduced from two lanes to one.
WSDOT said the reduction of two lanes to one will start at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2 and will last until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
WSDOT said Highway 2 heading east will stay a single lane during this phase of construction.
WSDOT said construction in the area is part of a project that will create a new roundabout at Lyons Road and Highway 2. WSDOT said with the funding from the Kalispel Tribal Economic Authority, the roundabout will be built in four stages, and construction will last through the end of September.
