SPOKANE, Wash. — Commuters who use the Mission Street Bridge should plan for detours and delays to their commute this week.
The City of Spokane said construction crews will be resurfacing the bridge on Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 24. The City is asking drivers to follow signed detours.
Here is what the City of Spokane said westbound and eastbound drivers should expect on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Wednesday, October 23
- Mission Avenue will be one lane westbound between Perry Street and Napa Street
- Westbound drivers should experience significant slowdowns and plan for an alternate route and avoid the area if possible
- Eastbound drivers will detour at Perry Street, north to Illinois Avenue, East to Market Street and south to Mission Avenue
- Thursday, October 24
- Mission Avenue will be one lane eastbound between Napa Street and Perry Street
- Eastbound drivers should experience significant slowdowns and plan for an alternate route and avoid the area if possible
- Westbound drivers will detour at Napa Street, south to Trent Avenue, west to Hamilton Street and north to Mission Avenue
