AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — If you plan on traveling on Highway 2 in Airway Heights, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is recommending that you plan for extra time for your commute next week.

WSDOT said the Kalispel Tribe will begin constructing a new roundabout at Lyons Road and Highway 2 starting on Monday, June 3.

WSDOT says construction is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3 to Thursday, June 6. WSDOT says work is possible on Friday and Saturday as needed.

WSDOT also says the roundabout at Lyons Road and Highway 2 will be built in four stages, and construction will last through September.

If you are traveling in both directions on Highway 2 in the area, WSDOT says you could see lane restrictions throughout the project.
